Previously In the DCU

An Estimated Timeline of the DCU By John Williams Given that I've been hearing a lot of confusion over the timeline specifics with James Gunn's new DCU, I thought it would be fun to put together a quick guide as to what's canon and what's not. Based on interviews and on-screen evidence, let's take a journey through this new expansive DC Universe. Do you wanna taste it? Source: The Suicide Squad (2021)/Warner Brothers Pictures 1. The Suicide Squad (2021) While not 100% canon, since according to Superman (2025), that movie was the first time Superman lost. So it's impossible for Bloodsport to be in prison because he shot Superman with a kryptonite bullet. But, other projects frequently reference this movie, like Creature Commandos name dropping "Project Starfish" and Peacemaker constantly referencing Rick Flag's death. I think its safe to say that a version of the events of this movie took place in this new DCU. Source: Peacemaker (2022)/Warner Bro...

TNA Slammiversary 21 Review

Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali What a way to start the show. Ali had been on a role in TNA thus far, and this match is no different. Building off of their Cruiserweight Classic at WrestleMania, both Ali and Alexander throws everything at each other, providing a memorable match that got the crowd excited for the rest of the night. The ending sequence especially was great, with a Lombar Check to Tasha Steelz into a 450 Splash. Highly recommend this match if your going to watch any match from this card. ★★★★½ The System and Matt Cardona vs Dark State Sorry, this match did nothing for me. It honestly felt like it was put here to fill out the card. I do not buy Dark State as that big of a threat, and the outcome of this match doesn't sway my opinion on this. It was nice to hear the hometown pop for Matt Cardona, but other than that, I felt nothing while watching this. ★★ Tessa Blanchard vs Indi Hartwell Not much happened during this match...

WWE Money in the Bank 2025 Review

Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match - Rhea Ripley vs Giulia vs Alexa Bliss vs Naomi vs Roxanne Perez vs Stephanie Vaquer  Opening with match of the night, in my opinion. The story told throughout, the veterans vs the newcomers, was so well executed. I loved the spot of Roxanne Perez and Giulia burying Rhea Ripley in ladders, only for later in the match Rhea getting revenge on Roxanne by rising out of the ladders, great stuff. Everybody got time to shine here. Naomi winning was the right decision, not only because she has the most interesting storyline, but because we finally have a woman of color winning the briefcase.  ★★★★½ WWE Intercontinental Championship Match - Dominik Mysterio vs Octagón Jr. As you can imagine for a match booked earlier in the day, this match felt thrown together at best. Clocking in at around 5 minutes, barely anything of note happened here. Only positive I could say for this is that it got more eyes on Octagón Jr...

WWE/AAA Worlds Collide 2025 Review

Octagon Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana vs lWo (Dragon Lee and Cruz Del Toro) & Lince Dorado This match was so damn entertaining. No faces, no heels, just pure lucha goodness. I haven't even heard of Mr. Iguana going into this show, but after watching this match, he's probably the most over act in professional wrestling now. Them setting up a match for Money in the Bank afterwards was just pure brilliance. ★★★★ Stephanie Vaquer and Lola Vice vs Chik Tormenta and Dalys  I feel kind of bad that this is the only Women's match on the card, and I found it just okay. Not that it's anyone in the matches fault, just that it got the least amount of time on the card. Clocking in for just under 10 minutes, they put on a match you could very much find on television. Vaquer and Vice winning was the right decision, though. ★★★ Legado del Fantasma vs El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano, and Psycho Clown Despite Pagano botching a lot in ...

TNA Against All Odds 2025 Review

TNA International Championship - Steve Maclin vs Mance Warner Decent opener that was a good showcase for Steve Maclin to show he's the workhorse champion. In my opinion, TNA's been doing a great job of building up their new tertiary title unlike the previous ones, and this match is no exception. Outcome was predictable, but acceptable given what they're trying to do. ★★★½ The System vs Leon Slater, The Hardys, and ?? Another System multi-man tag team match, how original! They really need to shake things up with the System, because this is just getting monotonous at this point. It was amusing that they brought Cody Deaner back as "The Home Town Man", which got a couple chuckles out of me, not going to lie. But the match is honestly nothing to write home about, only picking up steam in the last minute of the match. The Knockouts Tag Team title match on the pre-show should have replaced this one. ★★★ Mustafa Ali vs Jaso...

AEW Double or Nothing 2025 Review

Image
Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Final - Mercedes Moné vs Jamie Hayter I don't know, after weeks of AEW presenting this as a very heated fued, this match really came off as tame by comparison. Not really a bad wrestling match, perse, but I was expecting more of a brawl between these two than a heatless technical match. Mercedes winning was kind of predictable, and no doubt she'll go on to win at All In. ★★★½ Nigel McGuiness and Daniel Garcia vs FTR Started off a bit slow, but managed to win me over near the end. This is probably the worst match of Nigel's since returning, and that's because he was basically treated as the weak link between the two, suffering most of FTR's heelish antics. At least Daniel Garcia looked strong by not tapping! I assume this fued is going to continue since FTR won, but you never know, Khan might lose interest and go a different direction. Who knows! ★★★★ Stretcher Match - Mark Br...

WWE Battleground 2025 Review

NXT Women's North American Championship - Sol Ruca vs Kelani Jordan Incredible opening contest. These two never disappoint when facing off against each other, they have incredible chemistry. Fast-paced back and forth action that does a great job of waking the crowd up (what an opening match should do). There were also some insane spots here performed by Sol Ruca, like the cartwheel plancha onto the outside, or the Sol Snatcher from the top rope. I swear, these ladies are the future of professional wrestling. ★★★★★ The Culling vs Hank and Tank & Josh Briggs The storyline going into this match was kind of depressing, with Josh Briggs crashing out about Yoshiki Inamura leaving NXT (same with Tatum Paxley, but she's not on the card), so I wasn't really looking forward to this match. But they really put their all into this match up. This was really entertaining, with each person given time to shine. The match ending with Josh Briggs and Yo...
