WWE Battleground 2025 Review
Incredible opening contest. These two never disappoint when facing off against each other, they have incredible chemistry. Fast-paced back and forth action that does a great job of waking the crowd up (what an opening match should do). There were also some insane spots here performed by Sol Ruca, like the cartwheel plancha onto the outside, or the Sol Snatcher from the top rope. I swear, these ladies are the future of professional wrestling.

The storyline going into this match was kind of depressing, with Josh Briggs crashing out about Yoshiki Inamura leaving NXT (same with Tatum Paxley, but she's not on the card), so I wasn't really looking forward to this match. But they really put their all into this match up. This was really entertaining, with each person given time to shine. The match ending with Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura reuniting was a really great idea!
★★★★
Probably the worst match of the night, but even then this match was just okay. I don't give a crap about gangster movies or TV shows, and this storyline is basically a rip-off of a lot of those. I couldn't help but laugh at a lot of this match, which I found unintentionally funny. The Luca Crusafino interference at the end comes right the hell out of nowhere, because I thought it implied that Stacks killed him, but I guess we'll see where this goes.
★★★
I was not expecting this match to go as hard as it did. This match was an instant classic, with each woman knowing each other very well, with counter move after counter move. Man, this match did a great job of showcasing both women, as they are forces that shouldn't be reckoned with. It honestly could've gone both ways on who won, but incredible match that made both women look great.

Was not the outcome I was expecting given how the story was built up to coming into the PPV, but Myles Borne did have a strong outing in this match, so I don't think he'll be hurt by this loss. Excellent back-and-forth action here, as what you'd come to expect from an Oba Femi match. Like I said, both guys walk away from this match looking like a million bucks, so this match got the job done in that regard.
★★★★
My expectations were blown out of the water for this match. Probably Joe Hendry's greatest match? These two played off each other extraordinarily well, while telling a compelling story in the process. Trick Williams winning was so unexpected, but also might lead to some interesting storytelling opportunities down the line with this NXTNA partnership!

NXT has always done well in the PPV market, and this night was no exception. Mostly everyone put on there A-Game, putting on an excellent night of wrestling action. Not only did it further storylines for both NXT and TNA, but everyone looked great in the process. I look forward to seeing how this all plays out on weekly television.
