AEW Dynasty 2025 Review
Match of the night in my opinion, and what a first PPV showing for Kevin Knight. These two had excellent chemistry together. With move after move, counter after counter, some reversals I've never even seen before. Kevin Knight sure has potential, I sure hope his future in this company is bright, but you never know with Tony Khan. Next month, he might be jobbing out to Kyle Fletcher.

AEW World Tag Team Championships - The Hurt Syndicate vs The Learning Tree
An okay match to say the least, and sure is better than their title defense against The Outrunners. I did like how they built up this match, though. Using Big Bill's rematch clause when he and Ricky Starks (Saints) lost the titles to Sting and Darby Allin. This match was essentially here to further the MJF/Hurt Syndicate storyline, and it did its job adequately, it just wasn't a mind blowing match.

I can't believe I actually enjoyed this Mercedes Moné match. It's been a while since I've said that. These two work really well together. I really loved all the counters Julia had in store for Mercedes' offense. It was still a bit predictable that Mercedes won, but the prospect of seeing Moné go one on one against Athena is too good of a chance to pass up.
★★★★
Despite this match being pretty damn good, what will be most remembered about this match is the heel turn of FTR onto Cope, which I've got to say, has made Dax way more interesting a character than he was before. I look forward to how this heel turn will be handled on Dynamite. Please don't be a disappointment.

Yet another strong PPV debut, this time for Megan Bayne. She looked like an absolute beast in this match, giving Toni Storm a run for her money. Toni really is the best thing going in AEW right now. Her commitment to her gimmick here is just second to none. That roll-up victory no doubt means there will be a rematch somewhere down the line.

Owen Hart Men's Tournament Quarterfinal - Kyle Fletcher vs Mark Briscoe 4
Why do they keep on trying to make Kyle Fletcher a thing. He is just not interesting enough to warrant a singles push. Even more insulting is that they insist to put him over Mark Briscoe. He is more over to the fans than this twink. I just don't get why Tony insists on this guy. He's as bland as Austin Theory. I don't care about him in the least.
★★★
Ring of Honor World Championship - Mask vs Title - Chris Jericho vs Bandido
Decent enough match with a predictable outcome, I'm just pissed at how wasteful this title reign has been. Wasn't the whole point of Jericho winning the title supposed to garner interest in a TV deal for ROH TV? Well, where's the TV deal, Tony?!!! Every week I just feel like I waste my life watching the zombie company known as ROH. Just slowly shambling on with little to no purpose in existing. God, I miss the ROH I watched back in 2015. Say what you will about Delerious' booking, at least I remember the storylines.
★★★½
Again, decent enough match. I do wonder why even put the no time limit rule though when the match itself didn't go over the normal time limit. Clocking in at around 15 minutes when the time limit is usually 20. Like the other matches this two had, the action was predictably good for the most part. Adam Cole winning his first AEW title was a good moment.
★★★½
Second best match of the night. These three put on an instant classic. Pulling out moves I've never seen before, like double crucifix pins or double backside pins. It's obvious they care even if Tony Khan doesn't. The back and forth action in this was just insane, and the finish was just mindblowing, with the Angel's Wings off the top rope and Bailey getting stuck in the corner. The ending tease for a future match between Omega and Okada was great as well.
★★★★½
Two PPV's in a row with a bullshit finish. Are you kidding me?!!! This is one of the worst AEW matches I've ever witnessed, and it's not even the wrestlers fault. This freaking booking is some of the most stupid television I've ever witnessed. Are they biding their time until Darby gets back from his mountain climb? Not only is that even a guaranteed thing, but to choose the Young Buck's to interfere? That makes no sense. They left because they feared the Death Riders. Stop booking yourself in a deeper hole, moron.

PPV Grade:
Match Quality: 75/100
Show Structure: 72/100
Atmosphere: 80/100
Story: 52/100
Production: 66/100
Overall: D+ (69/100)
With yet again a shit ending and unfortunately some odd production issues, this ended up being worse than AEW Revolution. It's a real shame, too, because the undercard is really the best this company has. But the main event overshadows every damn card they do. It infects everyone until apathy pervades.
