TNA Slammiversary 21 Review

Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali What a way to start the show. Ali had been on a role in TNA thus far, and this match is no different. Building off of their Cruiserweight Classic at WrestleMania, both Ali and Alexander throws everything at each other, providing a memorable match that got the crowd excited for the rest of the night. The ending sequence especially was great, with a Lombar Check to Tasha Steelz into a 450 Splash. Highly recommend this match if your going to watch any match from this card. ★★★★½ The System and Matt Cardona vs Dark State Sorry, this match did nothing for me. It honestly felt like it was put here to fill out the card. I do not buy Dark State as that big of a threat, and the outcome of this match doesn't sway my opinion on this. It was nice to hear the hometown pop for Matt Cardona, but other than that, I felt nothing while watching this. ★★ Tessa Blanchard vs Indi Hartwell Not much happened during this match...

WWE Money in the Bank 2025 Review

Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match - Rhea Ripley vs Giulia vs Alexa Bliss vs Naomi vs Roxanne Perez vs Stephanie Vaquer  Opening with match of the night, in my opinion. The story told throughout, the veterans vs the newcomers, was so well executed. I loved the spot of Roxanne Perez and Giulia burying Rhea Ripley in ladders, only for later in the match Rhea getting revenge on Roxanne by rising out of the ladders, great stuff. Everybody got time to shine here. Naomi winning was the right decision, not only because she has the most interesting storyline, but because we finally have a woman of color winning the briefcase.  ★★★★½ WWE Intercontinental Championship Match - Dominik Mysterio vs Octagón Jr. As you can imagine for a match booked earlier in the day, this match felt thrown together at best. Clocking in at around 5 minutes, barely anything of note happened here. Only positive I could say for this is that it got more eyes on Octagón Jr...

WWE/AAA Worlds Collide 2025 Review

Octagon Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana vs lWo (Dragon Lee and Cruz Del Toro) & Lince Dorado This match was so damn entertaining. No faces, no heels, just pure lucha goodness. I haven't even heard of Mr. Iguana going into this show, but after watching this match, he's probably the most over act in professional wrestling now. Them setting up a match for Money in the Bank afterwards was just pure brilliance. ★★★★ Stephanie Vaquer and Lola Vice vs Chik Tormenta and Dalys  I feel kind of bad that this is the only Women's match on the card, and I found it just okay. Not that it's anyone in the matches fault, just that it got the least amount of time on the card. Clocking in for just under 10 minutes, they put on a match you could very much find on television. Vaquer and Vice winning was the right decision, though. ★★★ Legado del Fantasma vs El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano, and Psycho Clown Despite Pagano botching a lot in ...

WWE Battleground 2025 Review

NXT Women's North American Championship - Sol Ruca vs Kelani Jordan Incredible opening contest. These two never disappoint when facing off against each other, they have incredible chemistry. Fast-paced back and forth action that does a great job of waking the crowd up (what an opening match should do). There were also some insane spots here performed by Sol Ruca, like the cartwheel plancha onto the outside, or the Sol Snatcher from the top rope. I swear, these ladies are the future of professional wrestling. ★★★★★ The Culling vs Hank and Tank & Josh Briggs The storyline going into this match was kind of depressing, with Josh Briggs crashing out about Yoshiki Inamura leaving NXT (same with Tatum Paxley, but she's not on the card), so I wasn't really looking forward to this match. But they really put their all into this match up. This was really entertaining, with each person given time to shine. The match ending with Josh Briggs and Yo...

WWE Backlash: St. Louis Review

WWE United States Championship - Jacob Fatu vs LA Knight vs Drew McIntyre vs Damian Priest  Right off the bat with the match of the night. This match was absolutely incredible. Just like the Fatal Four Way at WrestleMania 41 for the Intercontinental Championship, these four men worked really well together. There wer plenty of creative spots here, like Drew McIntyre claymoring Damian Priest into a pinfall. The surprise debut of Jeff Cobb at the end was just the cherry on top of an incredible outing. ★★★★★ WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship - Lyra Valkyria vs Becky Lynch  This was such a competitive match between these two, with Becky being an effective heel against the scrappy baby face Lyra Valkyria. This was seriously a star making performance for Lyra. She's had great matches on the main roster before this, but all she needed was a great storyline to sink her teeth into, and this was it. The ending was kind of abrupt though, but the...

TNA Rebellion 2025 Review

Ultimate X Match for the TNA X-Division Championship - Moose vs Leon Slater vs Matt Cardona vs El Hijo del Vikingo vs KC Navarro vs Sidney Akeem A fun match to open the night. While this isn't the greatest Ultimate X Match in TNA history, this provided a lot of creative spots and memorable moments you would expect from the match type. Leon Slater yet again proves to be the modern Jeff Hardy by doing an insane Swanton 450 off the top of the scaffolding. The ending is a bit disappointing, because Leon Slater clearly touched the mat, but I supposed that sets up a rematch down the line. ★★★★ TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships- The Elegance Brand (Ash & Heather by Elegance) vs Meta Four (Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson) vs Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat) vs Chemical X (Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley) An okay four-way for the KO tag titles. I'm slightly annoyed that they went with the two people are legal stipulation, but otherwi...

WWE WrestleMania Night 2 Review

Image
WWE Women's World Heavyweight Championship - Iyo Sky vs Rhea Ripley vs Bianca Belair Now this is how good the Tiffany Stratton vs Charlotte Flair match should have been. Everybody getting equal opportunity to shine here, with a compelling story told without. Nobody looked bad here. In fact, this corrects a sin committed by Charlotte seven years ago by ending Asuka's winning streak, as Iyo Sky is now the first Japanese woman to win a match at WrestleMania. I know it doesn't really undo the damage done to Asuka by that match, but this seems like an apology from Triple H for the idiocy of the previous regime. ★★★★½ Sin City Street Fight - Damian Priest vs Drew McIntyre As a Doom fan, Drew McIntyre making his entrance in a Doom Slayer cosplay was incredible. While not as brutal as some of their fights recently or some other matches recently (seriously, when you see Sami Callihan vs Mace Warner or Swerve Strickland vs Adam Page, a lot of other...
